Yesterday was the start of our 35th week! 5 weeks to go until the due date! I can't believe how fast it has gone, yet at the same time, I'm ready to be done and finally get to meet this little guy! I'm starting to get uncomfortable and am having trouble sleeping. I guess a good night's sleep is over starting now until....retirement I guess?!?!
This week is my SPRING BREAK! It came at a perfect time! School has been rough lately, we were all ready for a break! I've had plenty of time to rest and mentally prepare for the next 3 weeks of work (my last day of school is May 13th!). I've also had time to clean and organize the house from top to bottom! If nesting means scrubbing baseboards, dusting blinds, cleaning the windows....then yes, I've been nesting!
It's been a while since I've singed on here. About a month ago we had our second 4D ultrasound. Pictures are up:

Looks like we may have a little chunker! Around that time, the baby and I were measuring 3 weeks ahead but since then, it seems like things are back on track. I guess we just went through a massive growth spurt! I'm hoping that's the case and we don't have to dress our newborn in 3 month clothes from the start!!
But overall, Baby Grant and I are doing well. He's just as active as ever. Whoever said they'll slow down as they get bigger and run out of room was lying. I wish I had his energy! Hopefully by the time he's born, he'll have worn himself out and be a good sleeper :O)

10 little fingers and 10 little toes...
Yesterday we got to see them all! We had our first of two 4D ultrasounds at Lake Norman 3D imaging. We got to spend almost an hour with our little man watching him move all around and make funny faces! What an awesome experience! We got to take home a DVD of our visit, a CD with 60 pictures on it, and all of the grandparents were able to watch the ultrasound as well via the internet!
We know we may be biased but we think he is the most precious thing we have ever seen! He looks absolutely perfect! However he is VERY active, we think we're going to have our hands full!
We'll go back for another peek at him around 31 weeks or so.

Boxer? Soccer Player? Punter? This kid is strong!
I'd been feeling "little bubbles" for about 2 weeks now. Those bubbles turned into little "pokes" earlier this week. Well, yesterday they turned into full blown right jabs and roundhouse kicks! We just had our 20 week appointment on Wednesday and the doctor had said it'd probably be a couple of weeks until Buddy would be able to feel the baby. I'd been feeling him all day but lastnight once I finally got settled and was still for a while, this little guy found one spot he liked and continued to use it as a punching bag! After the 3rd time I felt him in the same spot, I grabbed buddy's hand and showed him where I felt the karate moves. I didn't say anything when I felt it, I wanted to see if Buddy could feel it on his own. Sure enough Buddy felt him 2 or 3 times before itty bitty Buddy found a new place to kick!
Luckily he decided to stop and go to sleep too, but he's been at it all day today again...I wish I had his energy!
